Join us for Music in the Grove with Michael Higgins - Sunday, May 28, 2017, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Boyden Refuge in Taunton.  This is the second year for this very popular event sponsored by TRWA and the Friends of Boyden!

TRWA Overnight Canoe/Kayak Trip

Come see the hidden treasure of southeastern Massachusetts! The trip begins at Oliver Mill Park, Nemasket Street near Route 44 in Middleborough.   The trip ends on Sunday at Weir Riverfront Park in Taunton.  The trip covers a portion of the Nemasket River, then a large portion of the Taunton River designated Wild and Scenic by the National Park Service and the U.S. Congress.   Overnight camping will be at the Camp Titicut Reservation on Beech Street in Bridgewater, a town conservation area managed by the Bridgewater Conservation Commission, and also a historical Native American campsite. Volunteer Sampler Training – The last Saturday in February, 2/24/18, Bristol County Agricultural High School Library at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, 2/24/2018 with a bad weather back-up day of the following Saturday, 3/3/2018. Meeting of existing and new volunteer samplers to review sampling procedures and assign sampling locations for the 2018 sampling season (20 sites, almost 30 samplers, samples collected March through November the second Tuesday of each month). Spring Water Quality Monitor Volunteer Training

Become a “Guardian of the Taunton River Watershed!” Join our Water Quality Monitoring Testing Team. No prior technical experience is necessary! Qualifications: A sense of adventure, a vehicle, and a desire to make a difference! We are looking for volunteers willing to be available on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from April to October between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. to collect water samples and record basic observations at various stream sites on the Taunton River and its major tributaries. Help us Clear the Snake River

The Snake River is getting overgrown, making it difficult and unsafe to pass. Come help us clear some of the brush and make it a fun day! Some tools will be provided but if you've got a chain saw, pole pruner, loppers, pruners or a hand saw we could certainly use some more equipment. We'll work in teams to keep one another safe.
