Guided Walk- Tuckerwood Conservation Area

Tuckerwood Conservation Area  Date: Friday, September 23, 2022  Time: 10:00am -11:30am  Cost: Member: Free, Non-member: $5  Meeting Place: Parking lot across from 1072 High Street, Bridgewater, MA.  Tuckerwood Conservation Area is a 32 acre parcel with views of the Town River. We will explore trails and pine woods with a vernal pool for viewing, making a wonderful easy walk led by TRWA volunteers. Not stroller friendly. Restrooms not available. Pups on leash welcome. Sunday Morning Paddle on the Taunton

Sunday, October 9, 2022 8:30am -11:30am Join Nemasket Kayak Center guides on a tour of the beautiful Taunton River. We'll launch from the boat ramp area located at West Water Street, Taunton and paddle downriver to Dighton Rock State Park. Open to all ages. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Ames Nowell State Park   Date: Saturday, October 15, 2022  Time: 9:00am-10:30am  Cost: Member: Free, Non-member: $5  Meeting Place: Parking lot at Linwood Street, Abington, MA.  Exploring the northern part of the Taunton River Watershed, TRWA volunteers will lead a walk near the Cleveland Reservoir to observe turtles, birds and wetland plants. We will scoop some water from the reservoir edge to see who lives in it. Medium hike. Wear sturdy footwear. Not stroller friendly. Restrooms available. Pups on leash welcome. 2022 TRWA Annual Meeting

Have you heard we protected 30 terrapin nests this summer? Do you know how the current drought has effected our water sampling results or the river herring?    Enjoy this easy 1-hour walk, led by TRWA member Ellenor Simmons, through the Dighton Rock State Park forest and along the Taunton River looking for winter plants, mosses, and ferns.
