This is a windy river with many tight turns and is challenging for beginners. The trip is suitable for boats 12 feet and under. 

Bring a lunch. There is a bridge where we may have to portage so we’ll stop there to eat.

Directions: Take exit 9 on 495, Bay Street. Head north towards Winnecunnet Pond. You will pass King Philip Road on your left and in 50 yards you will pass over the river. The parking lot is immediately on your right, just after the bridge.
