Guided Walk- Stiles & Hart
Known for its’ history of clay mining and brick production, the Stiles and Hart Conservation Area was also home to the Plymouth County Agricultural Society Fair in the early 1800s. The walk will go along varied trails to view the bordering Town River and Stiles and Hart Brick Pond. We will learn about the Town River, the brick factories and their connection to the Taunton River. Sturdy footwear recommended. No restrooms available.
Our guide, Ellenor Simmons, brings 32 years of state parks experience to TRWA as a former Southcoast Field Operations Team Leader and park supervisor with the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation. In her retirement, she enjoys leading walks and volunteering with our Diamondback Terrapin Population Research Project
