About the Taunton River Watershed

The Wild and Scenic Taunton River

The TRWA is dedicated to protecting resources in the 562 square miles of the Taunton River watershed, the second largest in Massachusetts.

We seek to involve citizens of the basin's 43 cities and towns in a grassroots effort to shield the watershed's rivers and streams, lakes and ponds, wetlands and forests from the effects of rapid, poorly planned development.

Our water quality monitoring, land protection, advocacy, and education programs seek to protect the outstanding environmental values and recreational resources of the watershed.

Become a TRWA member today and volunteer to protect the beauty and character of Southeastern Massachusetts.
