Bill Regulating Safe Clearance for LNG Tankers Amended by Governor - Sent Back to House

Governor Romney has sent House Bill 5090 back to the House, citing his concern that the amendment filed by Fall River area legislators would effectively shut down the state's only operating LNG facility in Everett. This keeps the measure alive and gives legislators the chance to improve the bill so that it will safeguard Fall River residents without eliminating the current terminal.
