This book by renowned author Michael Tougias was published by TRWA in 1996. It is subtitled "A Guide to Exploring the River, with History, Wildlife, Anecdotes, and Suggested Outings." Michael describes the river from its headwaters to the Mount Hope Bay, coloring his narrative with his observations, maps, photographs, and historic events. This book is now sold online in the price range of $25 - $40 dollars; but you can purchase it from TRWA for the original price of $8.95.
